École Internationale de New York (EINY; English: International School of New York) is a French international school located in the Gramercy Park and NoMad neighborhoods of Manhattan, New York City.〔Burton, Monica. "A Language ''en Vogue''." ''Shoe Leather''. Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute, New York University, 2011. (1 ) ((Archive )). Retrieved on May 1, 2015.〕 The school serves grades PreK–8.
Its main building is at 111 East 22nd Street between Park and Lexington Avenues, where three floors accommodate the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades and the Middle School. The 4th and 5th grades ate located in the "Renwick Gem" of Calvary Church at 277 Park Avenue, between 21st and 22nd Streets, while the preschool is at 206 Fifth Avenue between West 25th and 26th Streets in the NoMad neighborhood, where the school has with a 33-year lease.〔(École International de New York website )〕〔"("Transwestern Inks 33-Year Lease for Ecole Internationale de New York in Flatiron Area" ) Transwestern (July 8, 2014) Retrieved on May 1, 2015.〕
As of 2011, each class has around 16 to 18 students, and each grade level has one class.〔
==History==
The school opened in September 2009, making it the third French international school in Manhattan. Yves Rivaud, who formerly was the head of the Lyceum Kennedy, founded École Internationale. Rivaud stated that he decided to create the school because Manhattan needed another French school, and he believed he would easily fill the school's enrollment upon opening.〔
In 2014 the school leased its preschool facility from Transwestern,〔 for $60 per square foot per year. This allowed EINY to add middle school grades to its Main Building. The school rented the entire 206 Fifth Avenue building, owned by Torneau owner David Wexler and managed by the Gural family.〔Geiger, Daniel.
